May Arts Back to the Beach Challenge

A month or so ago, I saw a post on May Arts Facebook wall stating they had a few more spots in their Back to the Beach Challenge.  They wanted  beach themed ideas and asked you email them a list of ribbon you could envision using in your project and what type of project you'd do.  I emailed Bethney with my idea and she responded that I got one of the last spots. 

I was amazed at the ribbon they sent---I got about 12 different ribbons to use in my project.  I submitted it last night and it will be featured on their website blog one day this week.  The winner of the challenge will get 4 spools of ribbon--yippee--more ribbon!!! I'll post the day that I'm on the blog so you can help "vote" :-)

Valentines Day Cards

Howdy!  Sorry I haven't posted in a while--I've been busy creating!  This post is going to be pretty short--I injured my shoulder and it's pretty painful to do anything that requires my left shoulder/hand so, it's a little hard to type!  Here are the cards I was able to create this past week/ weekend.  I used my an older Stampin' Up stamp, new High Hopes Monkey stamps and my new Magnolia stamps (have a few more cards to create with some more Magnolias).  Let me know what you think :-)

I was going to list these on Etsy but, due to me not being able to type much, I'll have to wait till later to do that--I guess I can list them as Anniversary or "I love you" cards instead of marketing them as Valentine's day!

Scraproom

Good evening!  I spent most of the beginning of the month organizing my scraproom in my spare time.  It was OUT OF HAND! The mess I had.  While I have it somewhat organized, I still have a few hours of intensive organizing to get it to where I want.  Here are the pics I took of what it looked like before I started making a scrappy mess!

Thought I'd share these for now!  Once I get the closet cleaned out and organized, I'll post a picture of that as well ;-)

Watermark

YAY!! I'm so excited!  I finally learned how to add a watermark to a picture!  And one of my favorite online stamp stores--www.whimsystamps.com offers digital watermarks for only $5!  I was able to find a design that went with my custom "handmade by" stamp that I had ordered from them!  Now I just have to get busy an finish taking pictures and writing descriptions for all of my stuff I have in a box ready for Etsy :-)

Here's my "practice card" that I did my watermark on.  Now I just have to work on my picture taking environment (My DH is going to build me a little "studio" for the stuff to have a picture taken on) :-)

I'm going on Saturday to my childhood neighbor's house so that her wonderful daughter can teach me some photoshop tricks and help me create a new banner for my Etsy shop and blog that matches my business cards :-)  I'm so excited to learn!!

Hello!! Sorry I've been a stranger

Hello everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged--things have been crazy.  But, I've been able to quit my part-time job and be abel to focus on my full time job (which I have been putting in extra hours) and on my crafting!!
