Exciting Times!!

Sorry I have been MIA again!  I have been super busy at my day job and have been staying SUPER busy at nights working on my Scrapdidiliumptious website, upcoming classes I'm working on teaching alongside my wonderful friend, Dolores Johnson (check out her blog at scraphappensbydj.blogspot.com).  I have also been very, very busy thanks to my dear friend Angie of angieenglishphotography.com.  She is a photographer as well as graphic designer.  She does the "whole" package--pictures, creating invitations, etc.  She has entrusted me by sending her clients my way to "complete" (or as she calls it "bling it up") their wedding invitations.  I am meeting with my third bride-to-be on Monday to show her some ideas I have to "bling" up her invitations that Angie has created.

I'm at a "retreat" weekend with some gals this weekend and am working on putting together some extra invites one of last week's clients needed as well as trying to get the creative juices flowing for Monday's invitation "meet and greet".

I am working on getting accounts set up with a few more vendor so, I will be able to offer and sell more product from a wide variety of vendors.

Super exciting things coming this way!

Have a fantastic weekend!!!

Kiddo Crafting Weekend

This past weekend, my little "niece" came and visited me on Friday night for craft night!  We made her goody bags for her classmates.  We had a blast!  We made Reindeer food and decorated the containers..  Whimsie Doodles had the Reindeer Food Tags available to download for free (www.whimsiedoodles.com).  I printed out some tags from www.scrappindoodles.com  for the Candy Cane holders (LOVE THEM) and we also made M&M treat bags with a Christmas Tree/Scalloped Circle Topper.

Lauren thought she was big stuff because we stayed up until after midnight working!  We ran out of time and didn't have a chance to make her teachers' gifts.  So, I whipped up something pretty quick Sunday night for her two teacher's and her sister Lilly's two preschool teachers. I was super excited with how they turned out!  My wonderful husband found this app for our Lexmark printer that I can print out handwriting practice paper.  I remembered that and voila--the idea for the treat pails formed!  Lauren's teachers get the ones with cursive and Lilly's teachers get the print.
I purchased this awesome "Teacher" stamp set from My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) that I used on the top of the pail.  I also had some seed packets that I made a sleeve for to use one of the other stamps on it.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

I wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hugs,

Mandy

MIA Again!

Sorry I have been MIA again!  Things have been crazy for me at my daytime job and I have been working a lot of extra hours. I thought that when I only had one job that I would have a TON of spare time on my hands.  Boy was I wrong!  That just opened the door for more challenges and exciting things to be able to happen at my day job.  Everyone that knows me, knows that I'm always up for a challenge!

I have been able to paper craft a little bit more.  I have joined a card club that has 17 members.  We meet once a month and swap our cards.  There is a designated theme for each month and we make X# of the same cards (one for every member able to attend).  This month's meeting was my initial meeting.  It was a blast.  I'm thankful that my friend, Russell thought of me when a position came open and let me tag along with him!  There are so many talented members of the group and I can't wait to learn new techniques and share everyone's creativity!

And I used my Cricut Imagine for the first time to make my cards for this month--whoo hoo!  I love the fact I can print paper at the touch of a button!!!

This weekend, my husband and I are going to Cincinnati for a weekend getaway (going to go see the Reds Friday night and then piddle around Saturday and Sunday!).

Next weekend, I get to take a Gamasol blending technique class on Friday night and then a card class from the wonderful, Sarah Spencer, CTMH consultant.

August 6th, my friend Brittani and I are holding another Crop for a Cause charity scrapbook event.  The chosen charity is Meadowstone Therapeutic Riding Facility located in Franklin, IN.  It is a horse riding center that specializes in helping children and adults with developmental disabilities.  It is owned by a retired husband and wife team that relies soley on donations to stay in business!! We have 6 more spots to fill.  If we can do that, we will have 40 people.  We are so excited!!!

Hopefully I can post more frequently!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed things slow down a bit so that I can fuel my passion--Paper crafting!!!!!

Have a great day!!!

May Arts Back to the Beach Challenge

A month or so ago, I saw a post on May Arts Facebook wall stating they had a few more spots in their Back to the Beach Challenge.  They wanted  beach themed ideas and asked you email them a list of ribbon you could envision using in your project and what type of project you'd do.  I emailed Bethney with my idea and she responded that I got one of the last spots.

I was amazed at the ribbon they sent---I got about 12 different ribbons to use in my project.  I submitted it last night and it will be featured on their website blog one day this week.  The winner of the challenge will get 4 spools of ribbon--yippee--more ribbon!!! I'll post the day that I'm on the blog so you can help "vote" :-)
